BioLearn — Interactive Biology Learning Platform
Overview
Designed and developed BioLearn, a full-stack interactive biology learning platform built with Next.js 16 App Router, TypeScript, and Supabase. The platform features a structured chapter-based learning system (Bab → Sub-Bab) with rich content rendering, interactive flashcards with image hotspots, automated quiz system, bilingual praktikum viewer, real-time announcement bell, and per-student progress tracking. Includes a full admin dashboard for content management, user analytics, AI-assisted tools, and system configuration.
The Challenge
Traditional biology learning platforms rely on static PDF content with no interactive elements, making it difficult for students to engage with complex biological concepts. Managing structured educational content with chapters, sub-chapters, quizzes, and multimedia across different content types required a flexible and scalable architecture.
The Solution
Built a modular content architecture using Supabase as the backend with structured Bab/Sub-Bab hierarchy. Implemented rich content rendering with accordion sections, interactive flashcard system with image hotspot mapping, and a bilingual praktikum viewer. Used Zustand for client state management, Framer Motion for smooth transitions, and a media proxy layer for optimized image delivery. The admin panel provides full CRUD for all content types with real-time analytics.
